Gloucester Township Residents Still Waiting!

(BLACKWOOD, NJ�April 5th) The Stand Up For Gloucester Township Team has kept an eye on their mailbox, voicemail box and email inbox. They are waiting. The hard-working families of Gloucester Township are waiting. On March 16th, mayoral candidate Cindy Rau-Hatton and her team sent copies of their clean campaign pledge and campaign spending limit proposal to each of their opponents. They signed these documents while standing in front of the township municipal building that day. To date, they have heard nothing from the Norcross/Corzine Team.
“I was hopeful that our opponents would join us in having an honest and open discussion about the critical issues facing the working families of Gloucester Township,� said former Council Vice President and mayoral candidate Cindy Rau-Hatton. “The fact that they have not responded speaks volumes,� added Rau-Hatton.

Running mate and former Councilwoman Shelly Lovett was also disappointed. “I have been out walking and knocking on doors and my fellow Township residents like the fact that we have proposed a fiscally responsible limit on campaign spending. They also are excited about our commitment to stick to the issues that matter to all of us,� concluded Lovett.

“The residents of Gloucester Township desperately want change,� commented Stand Up For Gloucester Township team member Dan Hutchison. “How can our opponents be agents of change when they won’t even commit to being straight with the voters about whether or not they will refrain from the negative personal attacks that have been their trademark in the past?�

Valleybrook community activist and running mate Jack Close chose to Stand Up For Gloucester Township when the Township Council wanted to allow overdevelopment in his neighborhood this year. “I got involved with Cindy Rau-Hatton and the rest of the team because like me, they are tired of the status quo. I hope our opponents will join us and commit to a clean election focused on the facts and spare us all the barrage of slick and fancy campaign mail. The voters deserve better,� added Close.
