GREENWALD: NEW JERSEY TAKING CONCRETE STEPS TO STRENGTHEN BUSINESS CLIMATE

(TRENTON) - The General Assembly today passed five measures aimed at helping homeowners and businesses emerge intact from the global economic crisis.

The action brings to more than 40 the total number of legislative measures that have passed the Assembly since September to help the state and its residents withstand the financial uncertainty and emerge in a stronger fiscal position.

SENATE BUDGET COMMITTEE APPROVES CODEY BILL TO SPUR BUSINESS RETENTION, JOB GROWTH

            TRENTON – The Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee today approved a bill sponsored by Senate President Richard J. Codey (D-Essex) that would serve as an economic engine by creating a more business-friendly environment in New Jersey and spurring job growth.  Senate Bill S3 is one of 11 bills that are part of the Governor’s economic stimulus plan aimed at responding to the current state and national economic crisis.

(TRENTON) - For the second time in less than three weeks, Assembly committees released a series of bills aimed at helping New Jerseyans caught up in the global economic maelstrom pay their heating bills, stay in their homes and protect their investments.

LAMPITT: ENERGY MASTER PLAN CRITICAL TO GROWING GOOD-PAYING 'GREEN JOBS' IN NEW JERSEY
