Wallace Watch Is Over? Glouco GOP Launches www.winashredder.com

Release Date: Jul 18 2008

Woodbury, NJ (July 18, 2008) - A recent South Jersey newspaper editorial declared an end to their "Wallace Watch" yesterday after publishing portions of Freeholder Wallace's five page Defense Manifesto. In response the Gloucester County Republican Executive Committee has launched a "Wallace Watch" of their own at http://www.winashredder.com/.

Gloucester County Republican Executive Committee Chair Loran Oglesby said, "I couldn't believe it when I read the editorial headline, ‘Wallace Watch ends officially."

Oglesby asked, "Officially for whom? Did the voters of Gloucester County suddenly stop caring?"

"Freeholder Wallace speaks on the issue of ethics allegations made against him in a federal monitor's report after two years of silence and he doesn't even address the issue of a May 19, 2006 New York Times article that saidF.B.I. agents raided the state university's 366-student Stratford campus to stop the shredding of documents in the office of Warren S. Wallace,' and an editorial board declares the story over. Obviously something is wrong with this picture," Oglesby said.

"It's almost sad that my freeholder candidates are asked at nearly every campaign stop if the guy they're running against is the same guy who shredded papers," Oglesby added. "My candidates want to talk about the issues and all we can say is we weren't there but the newspapers said his secretary shredded the papers then, the candidates or I get asked if he ordered his secretary to do it and all we can say is we don't know."

"Warren Wallace, as an elected official, has both a duty and an obligation to answer the questions on the minds of the voters and publicly release, in its entirety, his five page Defense Manifesto," Oglesby said. "If that five page Defense Manifesto does not address the issue of document shredding I suggest he re-write it. Until then, we have our own Wallace Watch at http://www.winashredder.com/ complete with a countdown from when I issued my first call for Freeholder Wallace to release his Defense Manifesto."
