The day after FBI agents seized eight boxes of documents from the law office of Jospeh Ferriero, State Party Chairman Joseph Cryan said he does not plan to ask the Bergen County Democratic chairman to sit out the national convention, which starts next week.
Cryan’s answer to the question about Ferriero was straightforward.
"No," he said. "I’m not going to ask him to stay home."
The Bergen Record reported yesterday that agents stormed the offices of both Ferriero and Bergen County Democratic Organization attorney Dennis Oury.
Tricia Mueller, state director of the Obama campaign, would not comment on Ferriero’s troubles, saying only, "We’re completely deferring to the Democratic Committee."
In recent months, Democrats in general have questioned the timing and political motivations of U.S. Attorney Christopher Christie, a likely Republican gubernatorial candidate.
U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-Paterson) complains, for example, that Christie dropped a subpoena on U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) in the middle of a tight 2006 contest with GOP state Sen. Thomas Kean (R-Union).
Menendez won.
Two years later, Christie still has not delivered any charges.

Cryan Golding
The only reason Joe Cryan isn't throwing Ferriero to the wolves is becuase he will be looking for the same courtesy when the FBI knocks on his door. Cryan knows that if he asked Ferriero to stay home Ferriero, would call him out and expose him as the hypocrite that he is.
Cryan is the one who should stay home just to stay close to Karen Golding.
Party of principles.
I always knew that the Democratic Party is the party of principles (or should that be principals?) It is rather pathetic that "Tricia Mueller, state director of the Obama campaign, would not comment on Ferriero’s troubles, saying only, "We’re completely deferring to the Democratic Committee." This is a change we can believe in. Keep it up Obama.
PP
Maybe if they found Porn on Ferrerio's computer or he got some women Pregnant and got his backers to ship her away and pay hush money he'd be asked not to show up - but taking tax dollars from hardworking people gets the big thumbs up. The others are probably upset they didnt think to create companies, steer work their way and not report any of it or have they?
Bergens Most Wanted
Bergen needs its own John Walsh. The Bad Boys of Bergen Politics are being taken down one Slime ball at a time.
ferriero and christie
Bill Pascrell hit the nail on the head. Christie dropped subpoenas on Menendez in 2006 to help Tom Kean Jr. Didn't work. he;s doing the same in Bergen to help his chances to be governor next year. Won't work either. The Menendez investgation ended up with nothing and so will this one. And Jon Corzine will defeat Christie. take it to the bank
