Muller to run Dems' coordinated campaign

Joe Cryan, chairman of the Democratic State Committee, announced on Thursday the party’s selection of Michael Muller of Mount Laurel to run the Democratic Party’s "coordinated campaign" operation in New Jersey.

"This is an important election year that offers opportunities for Democrats at all levels," said Cryan. "We have the best candidates, we have the issues on our side and we have a strong Democratic tide fueled by the accumulated failures of George Bush and the Republicans. Hard working and skilled campaign staffers such as Michael will help convert Democratic advantages into Election Day victories."

Associate Executive Director for Communications for the Assembly Democratic Majority, Muller served as campaign director for Sen. Hillary Clinton's (D-NY) presidential primary race in New Jersey.

The coordinated campaign is the election arm of the Democratic State Committee, working to support individual campaigns, to provide common resources and to advance the Democratic election agenda, according to a release issued by the Democratic State Committee.

"In a presidential year, there is generally a fall of between 10 and 15 percent of people voting for president, compared to the rest of the field, and we want to make sure they stay in the column," the 34-year old Muller told PolitickerNJ.com. "It’s always a challenge. This year, with the Stender and Adler races in addition to the presidential and senate races, the challenge is even more important."

Moreover, the coordinated campaign serves to build the party for successive election cycles. According to Democratic Party Spokesman Richard McGrath, the role of the coordinated campaign is enhanced this year with the presidential and senate contests bringing high-profile national issues into the debate.

"On behalf of the Lautenberg campaign, I am pleased to have someone with Michael Muller’s extensive experience working alongside us to elect Democrats up and down the ballot this November," said Lautenberg for Senate campaign manager Brendan Gill.

Where is Obama's organizational prowess so praised in the media. So far, he has been a lame duck in NJ. O boy! Do we need a change in NY!

Bosco, Bosco, Bosco!

"You're a portly fellow, a bit long in the waistband. So what's your pleasure? Is it the salty snacks you crave? No no no no no, yours is a sweet tooth. Oh you may stray, but you'll always return to your dark master, the cocoa bean. No, and only the purest syrup nectar can satisfy you! If you could you'd guzzle it by the gallon! Ovaltine! Hershey's! Nestlé's Quik!"
