Seventh district Congressional candidate Kate Whitman touted a last minute endorsement from Hunterdon County Sheriff Deborah Trout today.
That’s Whitman’s first major endorsement from Republican rival Leonard Lance’s native Hunterdon County. Lance supported Trout’s unsuccessful opponent, George Muller, in a close primary for sheriff last year.
“Kate is the only candidate who has put out a legislative agenda. Additionally, her agenda is well thought out, realistic and absolutely puts public-service and taxpayers first,” said Trout.

What a joke
How does this endorsement help Kate? Trout should have shown some guts and came out for Kate a week ago.
