Former Rep. Dick Zimmer appears to have the most cash of the Republican Senate candidates, although Murray Sabrin has raised the most money so far.
Since officially entering the race a little over a month ago, Zimmer has raised about $478,000 and has approximately $446,000 cash-on-hand, according to Campaign Manager Mark Duffy.
And although Zimmer doesn’t plan to self-fund the whole race, $300,000 of that total is from a personal loan.
Meanwhile, rival Republican Joe Pennacchio’s campaign has about $230,000 cash-on-hand, according to campaign manager Dan Gallic, who said he wasn’t sure how much Pennacchio has raised in total. Pennacchio has loaned himself $250,000 since the last quarterly report.
As of April 15th, Pennacchio had raised a total of $100,000 -- $20,000 from his own pocket—and had $25,000 cash-on-hand.
Campaign officials for Murray Sabrin, who’s also running for the Republican nomination, were not ready to divulge fundraising totals. Sabrin’s Web site, however, says that he’s raised $559,000 since entering the race in January – including the four days since the Federal Election Commission’s May 15th cut off date. As of March 31st, he had raised $350,000 -- $150,000 of which was his own – and had $66,000 cash-on-hand.
Neither Democratic released their fundraising totals today, but they are almost sure to be exponentially larger than the Republicans’. As of the last quarter, Andrews had $2.3 million in his congressional war chest, which he can put towards his Senate run. That total was a little under half of Lautenberg’s $4.7 million war chest.

Zimmer will go into a lot of
Zimmer will go into a lot of debt... maybe that will teach him to stop running. He can't win.
Dems have MILLIONS
The gop better find the pot of gold that's at the end of the rainbow soon.
They have one
its called getting a Republican from Bergen County who opposes the war and big government against Frank the Fossil.
Zimmer by far
So apart from their own donations, Zimmer has raised $178k and Joe P. has raised $75k.
That should be all the GOP needs to know about the 2 real candidates. Joe P. has no support among the rank-and-file. Those numbers are pathetic given how long he's been in the race.
Zimmer
So wait, Zimmer just entered the race and already has the most cash on hand out of all three candidates???
What happened to the "Big, Bad, Grassroots Ron Paul coalition" that was holding fundraisers in NYC for Murray Sabrin and money bombing the state for him!?
Seems nowadays like Murray's "Ron Paul Utopia" is looking more like a Frutopia!

Are you kidding Mr. Crocetti???
I cannot believe you have the audacity to make such an I-G-N-O-R-A-N-T posting on here.
All you have been saying for over a month is Dick Zimmer can raise a lot of money and has all this support and he only raises $180,000?
YOUR spin is beyond the pale of believability and highlights why NO ONE takes what you say credibly!
From now on, whenever any reads your posts they will be seeing "Blah Blah Blah - establishment rhetoric - Blah Blah Blah"
I would have more respect for you if you were actually getting paid to put this crap out there, but, since Zimmer has NO money, I am sure he ain't spending it on you and your opinions!
This was a horrible campaign filing for Dick Zimmer! I thought he could raise millions based upon your previous postings!
This shows Dick Zimmer is going to lose - AGAIN!
What maniac
Would donate to Murray Sabrin?

You know what, I should have more respect for you because I have to say, you were downright prophetic on that one!
You tend to go south though when you put words in my mouth. Anybody here, even regulars who completely disagree with me can attest to the fact that I did not make any such claims about Dick Zimmer although I will be voting for him.
On a seperate note, I just saw Murray's endorsementad featuring Ron Paul on TV recently.
Needless to say, I don't see it helping him.

Many reasons to vote for Joe
Supporting Zimmer means that we've all caved in tho the will of our party "leadership" again... and we all know what happens next.
I've met Jersey Joe and like him because he seems to be a regular guy (despite that silly song). Supporting Joe not only gives us a change to put a REAL Repulican in the R column in November, it also sends a wake-up call to Tom Wilson and the party elders. Their cookie cutter campaigns don't work any longer. If nothing else, maybe we'll at least get new leadership at the state and many county committees.
