Bergen County Executive Dennis McNerney endorsed fifth district Democratic congressional candidate Dennis Shulman today.
Shulman, a blind rabbi and psychologist, is running against primary opponent Camille Abate to take on conservative Republican incumbent E. Scott Garrett.
“Dennis Shulman, unlike Scott Garrett, understands the challenges facing the hardworking men and women of Northern New Jersey,” said McNerney.
The endorsement isn’t exactly a surprise, since McNerney is a prominent member of the Bergen County Democratic Organization, which has already endorsed Shulman.
Abate has the support of several labor unions and Passaic County Sheriff Jerry Speziale. Garrett, for his part, was recently endorsed by Texas Rep. Ron Paul, who’s still officially running for president.

McNerney has real guts!
Did he clear that with the Boss? No, not Bruce, but Ferriero.
mcnerney endirsement
I so love these people who have to resort to attacking people because they belong to the Bergen County Democratic Organization. This person obviously isn't supporting Dennis Shulman and he or she resents the fact that the County Executive does. And of course let's blame everything on Jeo Ferriero. After all he's only the most succesfull County Clhariman the Dems ever had. His critics can't win an election because they have no issues but their persona animosity. How pathetic!
the blind leading the blind
who cares, Garrett will win again . At least Aronsohn had the Rotarians behind him
Here's a classic example...
Of the blind leading the blind...
Look for Garrett to get 70% this time with McCain at the top of the ticket...
