State Sen. Leonard Lance has raised just shy of $300,000 for his seventh district Congressional race, according to Republican sources not affiliated with his campaign.
Lance, who plans to release his totals soon, would not confirm or deny the sum when reached for comment.
“It will be very healthy,” he said.
Lance has faced pressure from rival Kate Whitman’s campaign to release the totals. She has raised $440,000 since kicking off her campaign in November, but according to a press release she issued today, she has approximately $300,000 cash-on-hand.
If Lance’s numbers are correct, he actually out-raised Whitman during the last fundraising quarter, since he did not begin until January 1st. Whitman, for her part, began raising money two quarters ago, and has raised $240,000 since January.
