It’s official: Crowley will not run... again
By Matt Friedman, PolitickerNJ.com ReporterDespite being poised to enter the Republican Senate primary race for the second time in two weeks, Princeton biotech executive John Crowley once again withdrew his name from consideration today.
“John was deeply impressed with the outpouring of support for his potential candidacy for the US Senate. Many people both locally here in New Jersey and nationally had been encouraging him to run over the past week, but given his tremendous level of responsibility to his family, his company and to the US Navy, he’s decided not to enter the US Senate race this year,” said Crowley’s friend and advisor, Bill Spadea. “I know there was a lot of legitimate anticipation that John would enter this race we’ve been upfront with the many obligations he has, and his decision had to come down to his family.”
There were other considerations as well, like Crowley’s role as CEO of Amicus Therapeutics and whether he would be able to disentangle himself from company affairs soon enough to declare a candidacy.
“Given that he was the CEO of a public company it was very challenging, specifically given the very condensed time frame,” said Spadea.
Collecting signatures was not an obstacle, however. Over the last two weeks, Crowley’s volunteers gathered 2,200 of them.

NJ Senate - Crowley, Unanue, ???
I hope this doesn't signal another rush to find yet a different potential Senate GOP candidate. This is a populous state; is it THAT difficult to find someone, who's already demonstrated some participation & commitment politically .. even at the municipal level, and doesn't have a closet with skeletons, and obvious problems .. like living in the wrong state?!
Crowley would have made a great candidate..
It's too bad that he can't run. If only he had an easy (and taxpayer funded) job like Murray Sabrin.

So what if he is mediocre? There are a lot of mediocre judges and people and lawyers. They are entitled to a little representation, aren't they?
It is official, the NJ GOP jumped off the cliff.
Who is left then?
Andy "the bean" Unanune wants to come back from his vacations. Do not count on it. Have you ever seen anybody taking such a long vacations (since March 24th)? Doesn't this guy has a business to run? Please, make us happy and drop out of this pathetic campaign.
That leaves us with two guys we started with: Jersey Joke and Dr. Sabrin. Jersey Joke is just a joke at this point. That leaves Dr. Sabrin alone. Apparently, he "is not considered a viable choice by establishment Republicans." Therefore, the establishment Republicans such as Tom Wilson, back in the USSR Chairmen, and others unnamed are willing to drive the NJ GOP off the cliff to satisfy their egos. However, maybe that was the deal with NJ Democrats in return for jobs and contracts. However, even NJ Democrats have their own plans versus Frank. So do not count on Democrats anymore. They do not care about GOP anymore.
Let's move on with Dr. Sabrin. Shall we?

NJ Primed to Go Red!
McCain is in a near statistical dead heat with Obama and Hillary and the GOP may actually have a shot at picking up some offices this year that they don't usually get. There are many people running for municipal and county office this November on the GOP ticket and the hope is that voters start at McCain and work their way down the line. The last thing we need is a Senatorial candidate that would push people off our line to the Democrat side, whether that Dem be Lautenberg or someone else. I hope the primary voters realize that when voting in June.
With gross overtaxation and people fleeing by the thousands, NJ is primed to vote Republican.
