A powerful Republican County Chairman, who asked that his identity be withheld, said that a nationalist manifesto written in 1991 by State Sen. Joseph Pennacchio won’t prevent him from winning the June Republican U.S. Senate primary – but would likely hurt his chances to unseat incumbent Frank Lautenberg in the general election. The Chairman said that the 94-page document, which Pennacchio backed away from a bit late this afternoon, is a “plethora of opposition research” for the Democrats and could make Pennacchio a non-starter against the 84-year-old incumbent.

Yeah RIGHT!
This chairman probably has an all-Democratic county slew of officials because of downright incompetence. How the heck could Republicans vote for such an unimpressive and flawed candidate who advocates for fascist, anti-freedom policies. So we nominate Pennacchio, punt the race and destroy whats left of the party?
Of Course we 'd rather do that than nominate a candidate who can win: Murray! Murray will get young people to vote Republican for the first time in years, he will stick it to Lautenberg in the debates, and make the GOP competitive in blue areas again. Wouldn't you rather have a freedom and peace loving true Republican from Fort Lee than a fascist from Morris County as the candidate? And besides which, Murray won in Gloucester County, which means he and NOT Jersey Joe is the true statewide candidate. If we put up Dr. Sabrin, New Jersey will have someone they can be proud of again, and I dont need any incompetent, liberal whining RINOs to tell me otherwise!!!
He is a genius!
This "powerful County Chairman" is a really smart cookie. How did he figure this one out? I would like to know. Is this why he is so powerful? He must know everything about New Jersey politics. Let's make him even more powerful and replace Tom Wilson. With such a person in charge of the State GOP we will be affraid on nothing, but fear itself.
Future Planning
There is no question in my mind that Joe "Penn" is not fit to be the candidate. Even if we put aside the fact that I disagree with him on many issues he has too much dirt on him to have a chance at beating Lautenberg. His Nationalist Manifesto is basically a manual on how to destroy Joe "Penn". Do you think any Independents or Democrats will cross party lines to vote for somebody who has written about "Taking these people and separating them" in reference to the military encampment of homeless people. I can only hope that the Republican party has the foresight to choose I candidate who won't have to be in a defensive stance throughout their whole campaign.

Is it me
or are the Sabrin shills getting a bit tedious? Simply repeating the same thing over and over does not make it true folks.
Pennacchio was never a threat to Lautenberg though the symmetry was nice...Jersey Joe is really from Brooklym/Frank really lives in Manhattan. This "manifesto" makes it even less likely that Pennacchio can wage a competitive race. Please, however, spare us this "spin" about Murray being the real republican. He is a libertarian and is a fringe candidate, at best. He is probably "book" smarter than both Joe and Frank but book smarts don't necessarily make for an electable candidate. Murray is simply not electable. He is still going to lose the primary, even to a damaged and compromised Pennacchio, and he would get crushed by Lautenberg.
GOP's only hope is for Joe to fall on his sword and then find someone who people might actually want to vote for
Joe is damaged goods
Time to withdraw like Estabrook.
Do not give up GnIPGnOP
There is no time for desperation and doubt at the same. You cannot say what you do not know about the future. Discarding Dr. Sabrin's chances ahead of events sound to me like defitism. We should be more optimistic about our chances as long we are willing to support each other.
