Myers slams Adler, DCCC

DCCC mailer #1 (back)DCCC mailer #1 (back)

The campaign of 3rd Congressional District candidate Chris Myers (R-Medford) slammed state Sen. John Adler (D-Cherry Hill) today, charging that the content in mailers from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee amounts to "lying" and includes a doctored photo of Myers.

"John Adler and his cronies in Trenton and Washington have stooped to a shameful new low today by doctoring my photo, and lying about my position on the issue of Iraq reconstruction aid, in an attempt to mislead voters and divert attention away from Mr. Adler’s deplorable tax and spend record as a 16-year career Trenton politician," said Myers.

One mailer shows Chris Myers walking next to President Bush (R), though Myers says he has never met the President. “My eight-year old daughter would know better than to doctor someone’s photo and try to pass it off as the real thing,” he said.

Myers calls the content of a second mailer an outright lie. The mailer states: "Even with our struggling economy, House candidate Chris Myers stands with Bush in sending $120 billion in taxpayers' money to Iraq each year the war continues..."

DCCC mailer #2 (front)DCCC mailer #2 (front) In a press release issued August 6, Myers stated that “while there is still work to be done, news of the Iraqi government’s projected $79 billion surplus by the end of the year means that it’s time to end non-military aid to Iraq courtesy of American taxpayers immediately. American taxpayers have done more than their fair share, and it’s time for the Iraqis to take full responsibility for these reconstruction projects in their own country.”

No surprise here

Adler is down in the polls (his own) and has to resort to doctoring photos and lying. Shocked!

Just because he never met him...

Just because Chris Myers has never met the President doesn't mean he doesn't support him. He contributed to the Bush-Cheney reelection fund, and stood with Dick Cheney at a campaign rally in 2004.

He also stands with the President opposing a timetable for removal of troops in Iraq, and supports the President and his cronies in the big oil companies in giving them big tax breaks.

Have they shown you the real polls, junior?

If not, then may I respectfully suggest that you're being fed from the Kool-Aid pitcher.

Please call DCCC

If you want to look at the polls. Once the polls were known, Adler replaced his management team and the DCCC starting spewing the doctored and mis-leading mailers.

Campaign 101, Junior - when down in the polls make organizational/strategy changes and attack your opponent. Seems the DCCC and Adler have the book, Junior, do you?

"Myers loves Bush" won't get OC to vote for a Cherry Hill liberal lawyer/Trenton politician nor will it mean BC will vote against their hometown guy.

Ain't gonna happen.

Phoney argument

Just because he has never met him...give me a break. The photo has been doctored to make it look like he is walking with the President. It is shameful and a lie. Chalk another one up for the DCCC. The Deceitful Corrupt Campaign Committee.

Hmm

There are more issues that Chris Myers agrees with President Bush than, lets say, his opponent John Adler. There is clearly a connection between Myers and Bush...they are both dedicated to giving tax breaks to oil companies and only care about improving the lives of the rich.

It's a fact that Myers wants to continue giving tax breaks to Big Oil...He brags about it in press releases.

More lies

Please show me where Myers states in his press release that he supports tax breaks for oil companies? Or improving the lives of the rich? It is John Adler how proposes ending the tax cuts instituted a few years ago by Congress which will raise taxes on every tax payer in the country. It will reduce the tax credit for parents with children, parents who adopt, and small businesses. All this while Adler tries to save valuable tax dollars eliminating the need to teach our children the meaning behind Veterans Day, Memorial Day and Columbus Day. Who's priorities is he fighting for?

Hmm?

"Improving the lives of the rich" - please stop with the typical party spin already. I'm defined as rich by Obama, I can barely afford my house in NJ and Obama wants to tax me at a federal level in much the same way the dem's have done at the state level in NJ. I'm not rich, I'm just middle class and I am tired of being told by liberals how rich I am and how much I need to give to others.

So what if Myers agress with Bush? Another poltical spin statement. While I don't think Bush has been a great president, In my book he isn't tryin to get me taxed out of house and home. Keep the federal tax break, make it law and move on already.

Grass Roots

Bottom line, Adler cannot run away from is own past as a Norcross loving Corzine yes man and career Trenton Pol. It is only going to be a matter of time before all of Adlers voting, lies and distortions catch up with him.

And remember, Adler is a Camden County career politican. Burlco rejects Camden County and will continue to do so. Adler to his misfortune only has Cherry Hill in Camden and Ocean will not support a democrat and Burlco will back its own.

Walking

As long as Myers keeps walking hand-in-hand with Bush, Burlco and Ocean will both soundly repudiate him.

Burlco's not too happy with Myers. Medford's taxes keep going up year after year.

BUSH Bush Bush

Havent you dems learned ANYTHING by now???

Your screeching about every GOP being hand in hand with Bush has failed misreably! ,

Just ask Rich Dennison of the 7th District who played the Bush card to the hilt and got spanked by Diane Allen. Ask the dems from the 8th District, Riley Bodione and Fifis who used the Bush tactic too and got spanked.

Go ahead, last I heard Bush was not running and Myers and many other GOP have distanced themselves on many issues with Bush.

Keep the Bush chant going, it is going to be fun to watch the self destruction again.

08/28/08 6:24 pm

Bush!

I think that mailer shows how much distance is between Myers and Bush.
