A second independent poll in seven days on the 2009 race for Governor shows a potentially close contest between Gov. Jon Corzine and Republican Christopher Christie, the United States Attorney. A Zogby International poll conducted for Garden State Equality gives Corzine a 45%-36% lead over Christie; a Quinnipiac University poll released last Tuesday has Christie leading 41%-40% -- a statistical dead heat.
Corzine has a 55%-42% approval rating, while Christie is at 42%-13%. Quinnipiac has Corzine upside-down at 39%-46%, with Christie at 21%-7%. The poll did not include former Bogota Mayor Steven Lonegan, who is also considered a likely candidate for the GOP nomination.

Special Interest Poll
A Zogby International poll conducted for Garden State Equality gives Corzine a 45%-36% - let me guess their smapling were to people that are probably fit a certian democraticc profile.
Polling........................
When you do the hiring you can get any result that you want. Garden State Equality could hire a polling firm to see if the "voters" wanted Jim McGreevy back and they would get an affirmative answer. They are paying the bill do you think that Zogby is going to tell them something they don't want to hear?????
I am amazed at some of the garbage that is written here and the idiots of New Jersey would believe it.
polling numbers
Garden State Equality has hired independent pollsters before, and the results yielded weren't as favorable as these; I don't think they're "cooking" the books, so to speak.
Christie, who has no platform and is merely a blank slate upon which voters currently project their beliefs, would, in all likelihood, lose to Corzine in a general election; this much seems self-evident, however much the public has soured on some of Corzine's specific proposals.
Amen
Amen UseSomeLogic. I wish other people on this board would use some too. As I have stated before, these numbers are irrelevent. Questions are skewed to obtain a desired result. I said the same thing about the Club For Growth poll declaring a dead heat in the Senate race. So no one needs to get their panties in a bunch. Partisan polls are worthless.
exactly...
This poll is about as relevant as the CFG poll..seriously who the hell could believe any poll that had positive approval ratings for Corzine the Clown?!
How much
How much did Daddy Warbucks pay for this poll?
