Duncan Hunter's Jersey Guy
By Wally EdgeGOP presidential candidate Duncan Hunter will have at least one supporter in New Jersey: his friend, Jim Saxton, a thirteen-term Congressman who serves on the House Armed Services Committee with Hunter. Saxton has led GOP leaders in Burlington and Ocean counties know of his support for Hunter, but understands that they will not follow him in supporting the long-shot bid of the Congressman from San Diego.

There is a method to the madness here Mr. D. As longtime friends, Hunter and Saxton have fought side by side on many issues for 20 years. And while Hunter is a long shot (and that is being kind), I think everyone - including Saxton - knows it, but he is once again willing to stand by a friend, and a person who stands in front of him in seniority on the Armed Services Committee. Hunter is in this, among other things, to make sure that people do not forget we need to continue to remember the needs of the military, no matter what your stance on Iraq is.
