ROBERTS: JACKSON A 'TALENTED MIND AND STEADY HAND'
TO LEAD GOVERNOR'S OFFICE
(TRENTON) - Assembly Speaker Joseph J. Roberts, Jr. today released the following statement regarding Governor Jon S. Corzine's selection of state Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Lisa Jackson to be his Chief of Staff:
"With many tough challenges facing the state, Governor Corzine has chosen the right person in Lisa Jackson to lead his staff -- she is a talented mind and a steady hand.
"Commissioner Jackson is extremely well-respected and well-regarded among the Assembly Democratic Caucus and brings a series of valued working relationships to her new position.
"Lisa's command of policy and willingness to seek consensus will be invaluable assets as we work together to advance an ambitious agenda to help kick-start New Jersey's economy and restore faith in government.
"Simply put, Lisa Jackson is a superb pick."
