Peter Boyce, NJ-2, says Thank You

From Peter F. Boyce, Constitution Party Candidate for Congress NJ-2:

First of all, thank you one and all for helping with our Constitution Party campaign for Congress. Catherine and I appreciate all the sacrifices and donations but most of all, we were encouraged by your friendship and support.

Secondly, I want to thank those who voted for me. Those who made "Boyce Their Choice" did not do so because of my enchantingly, "combative" personality. In fact, their vote had very little to do with me personally.

From the beginning, my platform has not been my own, but of the Founding Fathers; the same platform both Republicans and Democrats swear to and then ignore - our sacred U.S. Constitution. Any votes cast for me were cast for the Constitution because of the principles of freedom it represents. America was founded upon the premise that there is a God who gives us our rights and that the sole purpose of government is to protect those rights and nothing more.

Over the past 20 years, in each of the congressional election cycles, I would pick up the thought of running. Each time I was able to put the thought down again. This time, I was not able to put it down. I was not able to sleep. I was compelled to run and had no peace until I made that commitment. I believe God put it on my heart to run.

Abraham Lincoln said, "To remain silent in the face of evil, makes cowards of men." I saw too much evil in Washington to remain silent. James Madison said, "It is ours to do our duty, the results are in God's Hands." David, when making his decision to fight Goliath, said, "Is there not a cause?" The results are in God's Hands. Does this mean that God lost? Of course not! He compelled me to run and I've given it my best shot leaving the results in His Hands from the beginning. He is still in control and I have every confidence that what He wanted to be achieved was achieved through this campaign.

Frank LoBiondo will be serving as our Congressman. I congratulate him for running a clean campaign. As my Congressman, Frank has at this time 100% of my respect and support. All he must do to maintain that 100% rating with me is for his votes to honor the Constitution.

I want to take this opportunity to emphasize the word "serving." It is unfair for a master to criticize a servant when the master has not told the servant what he wants done. In a land where government is "Of the people, by the people, and for the people," WE are the master and the Congressman is the servant. It is incumbent upon us to make our demands known else we have no business criticizing. Whatever the final percentage of votes tallied for me, it represents a message, loud and clear to Congressman LoBiondo that the people demand that the U.S. Constitution be honored and obeyed.

As for specific pieces of legislation, we must from this moment on be diligent in conveying our demands in a respectful, but firm manner to Congressman LoBiondo concerning such legislation as HR22 to repeal NAFTA, HR40 to oppose the North American Union, and the Sanctity of Life Act defining life as beginning at conception and returning the issue of abortion to the States to decide.

As citizens of New Jersey, we also have a responsibility to make our demands known to our State Senator Jeff Van Drew and to our Assembymen, Nelson Albano and Matthew Milam, concerning the need to introduce a resolution in Trenton opposing the North American Union.

On the Presidential level, Barrack Obama is the winner.

This presidential election, more than any of the past, has the potential of dividing America along political, social, gender and even racial lines. The enemies of American liberty and prosperity would like nothing better than to see Americans embroiled in another civil war and/or living under martial law. These unresolved issues could be used as a wedge to foment criminal acts and social upheaval.

As Constitution Party candidate for Congress, my primary concern beyond this election is the continued survival of America as a free and independent Republic. Democrats, Republicans and constitutionalists of all races must resist the temptation to let hatred and personal ambitions overrule their love of America. Regardless of political party, social status, gender or race, we must think of ourselves first as Americans and America as "ONE nation under God."

For this reason, Rev. Steven L. Craft (www.christiancitizenshipministries.com) and I are now launching the "Campaign for Reconciliation" to heal wounds and to strengthen the American spirit by emphasizing our common beliefs which unites us as Americans. May God continue to bless America.
