Woodcliff Lake Council President Endorses Donovan Team After Candidates Square Off In Joint Appearance
Paul Camella, President of the Woodcliff Lake town council, has endorsed Republican County Executive candidate Kathleen Donovan and her running mates. Camella's endorsement follows the first joint appearance by the two rival GOP slates vying in the June primary which was held in Woodcliff Lake on Thursday (April 20) night.
In addition to Donovan, Camella also endorsed Freeholder Elizabeth Randall of Westwood who is running for reelection, Fair Lawn councilman Ed Trawinski who is also running for freeholder and Jae Kim who completes the ticket as candidate for Surrogate.
According to Camella, "I had pledged to withhold endorsing any candidates in the primary until after their first joint appearance. Based on their presentations it is clear that Kathleen Donovan and her ticket present the best chance for the Republican Party to win in November."
Camella continued, "Kathe Donovan, Lisa Randall and Ed Trawinski not only have strong records as candidates but they also have exceptional records as public officials. They have the experience required to win in June and again in November and to provide the government leadership that Bergen County so desperately needs. Jae Kim is an attorney who is emminently qualified to serve as Judge of the Surrogate's Court."
"The Donovan ticket has generated a level of enthusiasm at the local level that has been missing from county Republican politics for too long. This renewed spirit will translate to Republican municipal wins in November. But to win in November we must first nominate the strongest possible Republican ticket in June. That ticket is the Donovan Team."

Paul Commella is a true gentleman and is probably a little red-faced after the latest Alan Marcus press release stating his endorsement for the Donovan line in Begen County. Marcus claims in his release that Commella came to this endorsement after hearing candidates for both sides speak at a joint candidate night. Not true! Commella arrived two thirds of the way into the program and didn't even hear Jae Kim the surrogate candidate speak, because Kim was absent. Infact, Commella missed the County Executive candidates speeches and most of the freeholder speeches. With the exception of Commella's endorsement the rest of the release is pure Marcus hype absent of the facts.
