WISNIEWSKI ON NJ TRANSIT CHIEF RESIGNING
(SAYREVILLE) - Following the resignation announcement of New Jersey Transit's Executive Director, George Warrington, Assemblyman John S. Wisniewski (D-Middlesex), chairman of the Assembly Transportation and Public Works Committee, issued the following statement:
"During his tenure as executive director of New Jersey Transit, I came to know George Warrington as a friend of transportation.
"Working alongside the Legislature, he has done much to modernize New Jersey's railways, from improving NJ Transit's on-time record to ushering in new double-decker rail cars.
"George and I developed a great relationship over the years, and his presence at NJ Transit will be sorely missed."
